Our experienced carpenters, from apprentice level to journeyman certified, have a dedication to traditional building materials and methods. Our subcontractors, some of whom have worked with David Coulson Design for 20 years or more, have a solid reputation in their respective fields. Our insurance and WCB coverage extends to every single member of this team and safety is always a prime objective on our jobsites.

We work clean and we respect the space we’re in. DCD crew members communicate well with their job supervisors and they, in turn, with clients and with the General Contractor (David Coulson). If there are special requirements regarding family schedules, noise levels, or landscape preservation, we always listen and try to work with you on those requests.

And, finally, we have a firm commitment to eco-construction, using recycled and low-impact materials whenever possible. We have experience working with zero VOC paints and finishes, installing radiant and solar heating systems, setting up heat recovery ventilators, thermo proofing, sourcing the most high-performance insulation materials, and advising our clients on how to make their homes even more energy efficient through the strategic placement of window coverings and green screens. The choice of how ‘eco’ to go with your home is entirely up to you.
