– Green Heritage Renovation –

This 1910 Arts & Craft bungalow located in Victoria, BC, features restored cedar shingle sidewalls, leaded wood sash, rafter tails and barge boards to maintain it’s heritage character appeal. Energy efficient technologies such as geothermal wells, solar and photovoltaic panels, low E glass, and soy based spray in place insulation add economic and sustainable values. The wood work and stairwell showcased in this entrance area was hand stripped using a citrus based solution and carefully restored. Windows were redesigned with period art glass, window seat restored, stripped and outfitted with rollout drawers. A hand painted, recessed, pressed tin ceiling, Douglas fir cabinets, maple butcher block tops and motawi tile bar top are among the many notable features of this home. Equipped with a modern office, utility and recreation space at basement level this home is designed to adapt to 21st century living.
